Coach parking & hire
York’s narrow streets are unsuitable for large vehicles and so to assist you, we have devised routes to the 2 principal coach parks and 3 designated Rendezvous points. Coaches may wait for up to 15 minutes during drop off/pick up.

Coaches and minibuses with over 16 seats are not allowed inside the city walls
except for a section of Station Road. See B4.
Skeldergate Bridge D6, is the only city centre bridge crossing available to
coaches.
Coaches carrying passengers with special needs may set down within the
restricted area providing written permission is obtained from the Police:
Central Area Events Office, York Police Station, Fulford Road, York YO10 4BY.

Charges apply from 0800-2030. Correct coinage required. No change given. Automatic barrier in operation.
For departure between 2030 and 2300 a token is required obtainable from a parking attendant on production of a valid pay and display ticket at the times posted on the tariff board. All vehicles must vacate the coach park by 2300.
Facilities: Public telephones. New toilet block (20p coin required). Exchange facility available for Euros. Fully staffed from 0800 – 2000. Electronic help point. CCTV.
No overnight parking or running of engines. Fines will be issued if this is not adhered to.
Kent Street Coach Park. Coaches 35
Open: 7 days 08.00 – 18.30
Charges: as for Union Terrace. No evening parking.
Facilities: Public telephones and toilets. CCTV.

Parking is available for pre-booked coaches. Free during the day if pre-booked or £10 without advance booking. Overnight parking is £10.

Cost is £6 for daytime only or £12 for 24 hours.
Open for access: Monday to Friday 0630-2100. Saturdays and Sundays and Bank Holidays 0800-2000 (summer) 0830-1800 (winter)
Facilities: Yard is floodlit securely fenced and locked at night.
